01 : Being Bilingual

There are so many reasons to learn a second language, and specifically to learn Spanish. Bilingualism is healthy for the brain, and humans have an innate ability to learn all languages. When we are bilingual, we learn to see the world differently by learning new words, concepts and ways of understanding our lives and expressing ourselves.

02: Brain Health

There are several peer-reviewed studies that have linked bilingualism to a slower onset of dementia and Alzheimer's symptoms compared to monolingual people.

03: Worldwide Use

Spanish is the official language of 20, yes TWENTY countries in the world. It is one of the 5 most spoken languages alongside English, Mandarin, Hindi and French. The language is growing, and it is beneficial to learn even if you don’t live in a Spanish-speaking country. In the United States and Canada alone, there are millions of Spanish speakers, and the majority of the Americas speak Spanish.

04: Find Your Why

Many of my students learn Spanish because they need it for work or to communicate with a friend or family member. A lot of people learn in order to enhance their travel experiences abroad. Some learn because they want to stimulate their brain health and keep themselves creative and sharp. Others learn so that they can communicate with people in their home country who can only speak Spanish. Regardless of your motivation to learn, studying this language will undoubtedly be a benefit in your life.
